This is what I’ve had to say to people who go on about how we should “give him a chance!”

What, another one?

How many chances is that now? Can anyone keep count?

We gave him a chance and he fucked it up immediately. We gave him other chances. We gave him so many, many more chances than anybody else ever gets, and that’s what’s been happening his whole life: a deluge of opportunities, criminal levels of lenience, and safety nets where others have death traps.

He’s fucked up every chance we’ve given him. To say we have to “just give him a chance”, again, is increasingly disingenuous and insulting (and dangerously blinkered) with every passing day. Every passing hour, even; he’s that fast.
